Lincoln Lakeshore

Lincoln Lakeshore is a VQA sub-appellation along the Lake Ontario shoreline within the Niagara Peninsula. Lower elevation than Beamsville Bench brings more direct lake influence, moderating both summer heat and winter cold. The relatively warmer lower terraces favour red-grape ripening; Cabernet Franc and Merlot are common alongside Riesling in a softer, earlier-drinking style than the escarpment sub-appellations.
