Valencay is an AOC located in the Loire Valley of France, established in 2004. The appellation is situated in the Indre department, characterized by a continental climate with influences from the Atlantic. The vineyards are primarily planted on clay-limestone soils, which contribute to the unique expression of the wines produced here. Valencay is known for its white wines, predominantly made from Sauvignon Blanc, as well as red wines from Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Cot.
