Cerequio

Cerequio occupies a broad amphitheatre-shaped south-southwest slope straddling La Morra and Barolo communes at 280–350 m, with excellent sun exposure throughout the growing season. Tortonian calcareous marl soils produce Barolo of generous fruit, perfume, and relatively supple tannin — the La Morra hallmark of earlier accessibility within the DOCG. Roberto Voerzio's Cerequio is the defining reference bottling; Michele Chiarlo is another longstanding Cerequio house.

Broad, perfumed Barolo; generosity and approachability
