Ravera

Ravera is a south-to-southwest facing MGA largely within the Novello commune at 280–350 m, with a small portion extending into Barolo commune; one of the denomination's most highly regarded crus outside the Serralunga–La Morra axis. The mix of Tortonian and Helvetian marl — with clay-rich subsoil in the lower sections — produces Nebbiolo of considerable structure, dark berry aromatics, and a velvety texture that bridges La Morra's perfume with Monforte's power. G.D. Vajra and Elio Altare are the principal benchmarks; Vietti, Cogno, and Brovia also bottle this cru.
