Rocche di Castiglione is a southeast-facing MGA on the terraced escarpment above Castiglione Falletto village at 300–360 m, receiving some of the best morning sun in the commune. Helvetian soils with compact marl and good drainage produce Nebbiolo of great concentration, prominent tannin, and a distinctive iron-mineral quality that distinguishes Castiglione Falletto from La Morra. Vietti's Rocche di Castiglione is the single-cru flagship; Brovia and Oddero add further benchmark bottlings. The name was formally confirmed as 'Rocche di Castiglione' in the 2007 MGA codification.
