Yoichi

Yoichi is a wine-producing district on the western coast of Hokkaido, Japan. Its cool maritime climate, influenced by the Sea of Japan, and volcanic soils produce conditions suited to cool-climate European varieties. Pinot Noir is the flagship grape, alongside Kerner, Zweigelt, and other Germanic varieties. Domaine Takahiko and other small producers have brought international attention to Yoichi as one of Japan's most promising fine wine regions.

Primarily red wines with a focus on hybrid varieties.
