Commandaria

Commandaria is a historic wine region located in the Troodos Mountains of Cyprus, known for its production of sweet dessert wines. The region benefits from a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters, which is conducive to the cultivation of grape varieties suited for dessert wine production. Commandaria is one of the oldest named wines in the world, with a winemaking tradition that dates back to ancient times, and it is recognized by the European Union as a protected designation of origin (PDO).
