White Burgundy at its most generous. The deeper soils here produce Chardonnay of unusual richness — nutty, honeyed, almost unctuous. While no Grand Crus exist on paper, Premier Crus like Perrières and Charmes produce wines that rival Montrachet. Meursault is Burgundy's golden center.
