The northern half of the Côte d'Or, running from Dijon to Corgoloin. These slopes produce Burgundy's greatest red wines — Pinot Noir of power, complexity, and longevity. Most of Burgundy's red Grand Crus lie here, from Chambertin to Romanée-Conti. The thin limestone soils and east-facing exposure create wines that age for decades.
