Mâcon-Chardonnay

Mâcon-Chardonnay is the village appellation of Chardonnay — the commune in the Mâconnais that gave the world its most planted white grape variety. Local legend holds that the grape was identified and named here in the Middle Ages. Wines are Chardonnay-only, typically expressing a crisp, fresh style with limestone minerality and light stone-fruit character.
