Tavel

Tavel is an AOC located in the Southern Rhône region of France, recognized for its production of rosé wines. The appellation is situated on the left bank of the Rhône River, near the town of Tavel, and benefits from a Mediterranean climate characterized by warm summers and mild winters. The terroir consists of a mix of clay, limestone, and rolled pebbles, which contribute to the distinctive character of the wines. Tavel is notable for being one of the few regions in France that exclusively produces rosé, with a focus on full-bodied and robust styles.
