Pfalz
Germany's second-largest wine region and sunniest, the Pfalz (Palatinate) stretches along the Haardt mountain foothills. Warmer than the Mosel, it produces fuller-bodied Riesling alongside excellent Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and white Burgundy varieties. The Mittelhaardt zone around Deidesheim and Forst is considered the heart of quality production.
Full-bodied, ripe, versatile
