Cerretta is a south-facing MGA in Serralunga d'Alba at 300–360 m, on the northern slope of the Serralunga ridge with Helvetian Serravallian soils delivering the commune's signature tannic power and mineral depth. The wine shows dark berry fruit, earthy notes, and firm tannin that softens with time into a complex, savoury expression — a quieter but quality-consistent Serralunga cru. Giovanni Rosso and Ceretto (Bricco Rocche estate) are the principal producers; note that the MGA 'Cerretta' (the place) is entirely distinct from the producer 'Ceretto' (the family name).
Dark-fruited, tannic Serralunga Barolo; earthy and mineral
