Vigna Rionda

Vigna Rionda

Vigna Rionda (officially codified as 'Vignarionda' in 2007) is Serralunga d'Alba's most prestigious MGA, a steep south-to-southwest facing site at 300–380 m with pure Helvetian Serravallian marl soils. The combination of altitude, aspect, and compact mineral-rich soil produces Nebbiolo of extraordinary concentration, firm tannic architecture, and exceptional longevity — the archetypal Serralunga Barolo. Massolino (Riserva), Oddero (Vignarionda 10 Anni), and Giovanni Rosso (Ester Canale Rosso) are the benchmarks; Bruno Giacosa's legendary Collina Rionda Riserva drew from the same hill.

Austere, concentrated Barolo; Serralunga power and 20+ year potential
