Colli Toscana Centrale is a broad Tuscan IGT covering the central Apennine foothills between Florence and Siena. Established to accommodate the Super-Tuscan movement, it permits Sangiovese blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other international varieties outside the Chianti classification. Estates such as Ornellaia and Sassicaia use neighbouring IGTs, but this designation spans a wide productive zone.
