Chiaretto di Bardolino

Chiaretto di Bardolino

Chiaretto di Bardolino is a DOC appellation on the eastern shore of Lake Garda in the Veneto, producing pale rosé from the same Corvina-led blend used for Bardolino DOC red. The two designations share geography but are legally distinct: Chiaretto must be vinified as rosé, producing a lighter extract and a fresh, delicate style. Lake Garda's moderating presence and the well-drained moraine soils of the shoreline contribute to the wine's characteristic pale colour and floral character.
