Somontano is a Denominación de Origen (DO) located in the province of Huesca, within the autonomous community of Aragón, Spain. Established in 1984, it is characterized by a diverse range of microclimates and soils, which contribute to the production of both red and white wines. The region is situated at the foot of the Pyrenees, benefiting from a continental climate with significant temperature variations between day and night, enhancing the ripening of grapes.
