Jumilla

Jumilla is a Denominación de Origen (DO) located in the Murcia region of southeastern Spain. The appellation is characterized by its arid climate, with a significant temperature variation between day and night, which influences the ripening of grapes. The region is primarily known for its production of red wines, particularly those made from the Monastrell grape, which thrives in the local soil conditions. Jumilla has a long history of winemaking, dating back to Roman times, and has gained recognition for both traditional and modern wine styles.
